Formatting
I propose a change to the way the tables are formatted. Instead of putting which options do and do not work in the Notes field, add more columns to the tables that correspond to the options that the M3 Game Manager supports. I believe it would make the tables easier to read and would create a more uniform system. Something along the lines of:
| # | ROM Title | GM | FW | Card | Read Method | Reset | Trim | Notes/Additional info |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 0001 | Electroplankton (J) (Trashman) | 2.2 | 22 | SD | 4xDMA | Yes | Yes |

Single Page
PLEASE make a single page with ALL of the games and their fixed. It's easier to search that way.
--Alextiming 13:29, 19 February 2006 (GMT)
Please put it back to how it was. With it split up on individual pages it's a pain in the butt to find a game. Thanks.

RE:Single Page
If you need to search for roms go into the index page and search there. If you want to get more information on that certain rom go into its numbered area.

RE:Single Page
sorry...
The reason it is like this is because the old page was 50KB and growing. Its irresponsible to have a single HTML page of that size.
You can find the rom by looking in the list and then going to the number. Its more accessible to slow connections that way.
Because you have posted your request repeatedly and in the main pages, I will put you down as warned. If you have a problem, put it in the talk page please.
Leo
RE:Single Page
But, there is no single list of all the roms on one page, that's the problem. There is no index page, but rather index pageS. If you don't know the rom number, you used to be able to search the page to find it. Now, it's broken up over several pages.
It's good to have options for people with slower connections. It's also good to have options for people with faster connections. It doesn't have to be one or the other, it can fairly easily be both.
Put me on the side of the people who want a single searchable index page. 221.95.198.169 15:18, 26 June 2007 (EDT)
How about a large single page with a warning, next to the other index pages? Something like:
| === FULL ===
Full Index - *Warning* Very Large Page. If possible, please use one of the above instead. |
Put it at the very bottom, so casual users won't stumble into it. What do you guys think?
If the index pages were templated, they could be transcluded into other pages, and you wouldn't even have to edit multiple pages. So, while the actual full index would be large, the individual editable templates would be small enough to work in every browser.
Numbered List
oh leo, made the numbered list into a link of the pages involved. i dunno if it's that much harder to maintain now. but you see how it's formatted.--Jadenguy 16:15, 20 February 2006 (GMT)
RE:Numbered List
How about, where it says
"Numbered Index Page NDS
0001-0050
0051-0100
0101-0150
0151-0200
0201-0250
0251-0300
0301-0350"
you just put the contents of the "Numbered Index Page NDS." All the chunks are already linked, so makes the links on this page pretty useless.

RE:Numbered List
well, if you want to go from the index page to the specific rom, you don't have to go back a page. these things always flow best forwards, and this way, if you don't know the rom number, you can find the rom and go to the page using just links and no other browser navigation. all workflow. but i would never use the index page anyways because i download my roms by number. the rules with wikis are that if you think you can improve them, go ahead, and i honestly invite you to do so. i was gonna try to link each rom to the correct place in the page, but that seemed like a LOT of work if i didn't automate it correctly.--Jadenguy 09:20, 23 February 2006 (GMT)
RE:Numbered List
Ok. I know that I could change it, i was just wondering what anyone thought about it. But, I think you may misunderstand what I said. I'm not sure. But let me go ahead and try it, and if a majority doesnt like it, you can just revert it

Kiosk Demos
Before the change we had a section for Kiosk Demos, etc. Was it not included on purpose? Or is it just waiting for someone to add it?
--ProdigySim 07:59, 10 April 2006 (EDT)
RE:Kisosk Demos
add it. I don't know why it wasn't included though... I guess whoever did it forgot? --leoedin 14:27, 10 April 2006 (EDT)
RE:Kiosk Demos
hm, crap i forgot to ask about that when i pumped out the original list. where was the kiosk demos section at?
ROM Numbering
Where do the release numbers come from? I thought everyone went by the list on PocketHeaven, but I guess not because they haven't updated in a while and there are more roms out than they have listed. I've tried Googling, but it just bad 'romz' sites. Is there another site out there like PocketHeaven that has an up to date release list and also has RomCenter or ClrMame DAT files for checking the rom files? --Joymonkey 09:57, 18 April 2006 (EDT)
RE:ROM Numbering
GBATemp keeps the most up to date release list I've seen. --ProdigySim 23:13, 18 April 2006 (EDT)
Technical Patching Details
Is there any chance that descriptions of what the various settings mean (i.e. FastBoot, DMA 1x or 4x, Software Reset, etc) could be added so that we know what choosing the various menu options does? I just want to be a more informed M3 user and it's always nice to know technical details.
Thanks! --dokool
Multiple Rom Rips
Who is responsible for the original naming of the rom files? I think in the case of multiple rips of the same game from the same region, more information needs to be included about the differences between them somehow. For example, there are three different versions of the European Zoo Tycoon DS. I know they're ripped by three different people, but what's the actual difference between the roms? Do they support different sets of languages? Is one more updated & bug-fixed compared to the others? Have any of the roms been altered to make them more playable via M3?
On a related note, there seems to be inconsistency with the way European roms are tagged. Take the title Biene Maja Klatschmohnwiese In Gefahr. It's tagged as European, but it's a German-only title. Other games, like Ab Durch de Hecke and Horsez: Abenteuer auf dem Reiterhof are tagged as German, not European.
I realize this may be completely the wrong place to bring this up, but since this is a somewhat decentralized (and more-or-less anonymous) scene, I haven't been able to find out how to contact those who originally rip and name the roms. Eventually, someone like Cowering or the TIM team are going to come around and give the roms coherent names, so we might as well do our part to reduce the workload on them.
RE:Multiple Rom Rips
I don't know where everyone sources their information, but gbatemp are a reliable source of ROM numbers and names. I believe the rippers upload to FTP sites *somewhere* and then the roms are downloaded from there, uploaded to more sites, eventually making their way to ROM sites. I believe those who run GBATemp, and more importantly, their IRC channels (efnet, #ndstemp), where you might get more of an answer out of someone.

Better ROM Index
Hello I'm asking for a change on the ROM Index on the main page. It's much easier to find what ROM # a game is if they're all on 1 page. I'd suggest going back to how it use to be displayed, like so.
OR SIMPLY make a ROM Index page with all of these links. Now that all the works been done. Mind keeping it? Thanks
Good lord do you really need to post that?
The list breaks the 32KB limit, but I suppose newer browsers ignore the limit.
--Chanser
There is no need. You can search using the search box. it makes the page unmanagable. As you insisted on changing it before, it definitely doesn't make your case better.
If someone else complained, it might be considered, but having pages that long isn't good for anything.
You can search google for the rom number, search a ROM site, search the wiki for the game name. You don't need a long list like that, and other people don't need a long list like that when they're not expecting it. --Leoedin
I'm also going to remove that list from here, as it is too long for a talk page
my sims
my sims, drawn to life and jewel quest have all loaded then said Could Not Access Data. Turn Off Power and Reinsert DS Card. if have M3 lite and i'm running 34a version which i think is most upto date. why wont these 3 games run as sonic and tingle work and they are pretty new also. celt
