Talk:GBA Linkage Support for NDS Roms

I need to add a "Contents" table in this page. Can anyone help me? I have no idea of how to make the code. Thanks.

I like the overall method of this page. I want to make a suggestion as how to determine which games goes where on the page in each section:

In each section, the game with the earliest NDS release will be the determining point. This means if there's a U, E, and J release, whichever one is listed first will be used to determine position. After that, the lowest number of the determined positions will be listed first.

Hope that makes sense. --Sir VG 12:30, 4 November 2006 (PST)

Does the Daigasso expansion pack fall under this section? Is there a way to make that work?

This page is new and i dont know if this format i have made will be the best. Please add new games and redesign the page to something better. --Rion 08:03, 15 September 2006 (PDT)

I have continued the work of Rion, and have updated this page and performed it a bit. Soon, me or other other people will make an introduction in this page and a quick guide explaining how to link between GBA-NDS games. --Jawii3r 18:09, 26 October 2006 (PDT)

Wrote intro.. "will restructure list in light of contents of M3 Game Manager.exe" is no longer valid, in light of hexing the M3GM (muahahahah!) --Aramdol 23:09, 17 November 2006 (GMT) Pls, the game of dust brothers have a linkage with other game designed for nds, i need this linkage xD

Moved "Writer's Notes" to discussion, where it should be. --GeneralNMX 13:08, 27 April 2007 (EST)

[edit] Diamond / Pearl linkage for (U) Rom

I am playing through the game now w/ hex edited Castlevania DS -> Pokemon Diamond + Pokemon Emerald. I got to Route 203 & Route 204 and have not encountered Seedot yet, even though he's listed as "Uncommon" on http://www.serebii.net. Seedot is one of the Pokemon that only appears if you have a GBA Pokemon game inserted - in this case, only from Pokemon Emerald. http://www.serebii.net says Seedot can appear on Route 203 / Route 204 as the first places available, and I'm going by that. However, I don't want to make a decision until I get to Pal Park. --GeneralNMX 13:32, 27 April 2007 (EST)

You won't be able to find Seedot, or any other pokemon from linking with GBA games, until after you beat the Elite 4. Can you post what entries you edited to this page so someone who has access to the Pal Park can test it and provide feedback? I tried the Castlevania entries, but it isn't detecting Emerald as something that can be linked. --Mcrg

Not working on Castlevania entry and Pokemon_Dash entry --MelonGx 15:11, 3 Sep 2007 (GMT+8)

WTF? I saw videos on youtube showing that linking Pearl/Diamond with gba games is possible - it really isn't working on m3 lite perfect???

I can hex edit the m3 manager so it can link. But nothing ever happens when I load the gba rom (pkmn firered) with nds game pokemon diamond. I wish someone would clarify! Or that the m3 team would provide some support! - willmcintosh at hotmail dot com, 29 Feb 2008

[edit] "cheat"? WTF?!

Eh, can anybody explain this "cheat" business, that I keep seeing people put in the source of their edits for the tables in this page? People doing it seem to be otherwise making real edits and everything, but it looks weird because of it being hidden, and obviously because the actual text put in with it! For all I know it's just for obscuring spoily cheat info about the games or something otherwise legit, and it seems harmless either way, so I'm NOT just going to delete it (or spell it out if it's spoily), but it sure does LOOK like some in-joke or random mucking about. I mean seriously, WTF?!?! XD I think the later times people were just copying the table that was already there, the last editor went back to take some of it out *shrug* --Tomble 02:41, 9 July 2007 (EDT)

[edit] Megaman Star Force

There's some GBA-DS integration there (You get a special weapon if you do a side quest after loading the game with one of the MegaMan Battle Network games in the GBA slot). I just tested it last night and it works using MM:SF dragon, an M3 running v1.07 and MMBN1 in slot 2. I expect other GBA games as well as the other versions to work too. --76.23.195.218 09:30, 17 August 2007 (EDT)

[edit] Megaman Starforce Linkage

Any clue if this works on the M3 Lite yet?
